Experience a Sound Massage

Discover the holistic benefits of a sound massage with the principles of the Peter Hess® method. The Peter Hess® sound massage is a professional, holistic relaxation method that combines harmonious sound with gentle physical vibration to restore balance to your mind, body and spirit.

"The sound of the singing bowl touches our innermost soul and brings it into vibration. The sound breaks tension, mobilizes self-healing forces, and sets free creative energies."
— Peter Hess, Founder

How Sound Massage Works

Developed in 1984 by German engineer Peter Hess, this method uses high-quality, specialised singing bowls placed directly on or near your clothed body. As the human body is composed of roughly 60% water, sound vibrations travel deeply and efficiently through your tissue, muscles, and fluids.

As the bowls are gently struck, they emit rhythmic waves. This creates a comforting "cellular massage" effect, where every cell responds to the frequencies, allowing your entire system to release tension and self-regulate.

Key Benefits

• Cellular Stimulation: Gentle vibrations travel through the body, dissolving physical tightness and emotional stress, and promoting enhanced circulation and cellular activity.

• Deep Mental Calm: Harmonious tones guide your brain into a relaxed alpha state, quieting mind chatter.

• Natural Recovery: The soothing experience calms the nervous system, boosting your body’s natural self-healing.

• Non-Invasive Comfort: Sessions are fully clothed and touch-free, offering a safe space to completely exercise basic trust and to ‘let go’.

• Versatility: Sound massage not only provides deep relaxation, but it also stimulates the muscles and blood vessels to ‘open’ up and bring circulation to the problem area, addressing chronic health issues such as neck stiffness and lumbar pain. There have also been reports of reducing fine lines and wrinkles- giving a much youthful look after multiple sessions.

What to Expect

The general structure in an introductory sound massage is outlined below:

1. Brief Consultation: Discussion about your wellness goals, focus areas, and preferences/needs to ensure your optimal comfort. The practitioner will also provide a briefing about your session so you will know what to expect.

2. The Sound Experience: You rest comfortably while bowls are placed on or around your body. All you do is receive!

3. Rest & Integration: A quiet period of rest allows the nervous system time to recalibrate and settle into a state of calm- allowing a gradual return to daily routine and way of grounding back into your surroundings.

4. Time for reflection, discussion, and hydration will follow post session.
